O God, make us children of quietness and heirs of peace.

O heavenly Father,
who has bestowed on us
the comfort of earthly friends:
look in love upon those dear to us
from whom we are separated at this difficult time.
Protect them and keep them from harm;
prosper and bless them in all good things;
suffer them never to be desolate or afraid,
and let no shadow come between them and us to divide our hearts;
but in your own good time
may we renew the comfort of sight and sound;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
