Belfast Cathedral - Choral Services at Belfast Cathedral Resume in September

From September, services for both 11am morning Choral Eucharist  and afternoon Choral Evensong at 3.30pm, have resumed at St Anne's Cathedral. Under the direction of the cathedral's new Master of Music, Mr Jack Wilson, and accompanied by recently appointed Assistant Organist, Mr Stephen Hamill, the newly formed cathedral choir of auditioned singers have taken position in the cathedral's choir stalls to continue a choral tradition which stretches back to the foundation of  St Anne's Cathedral in 1904.

The choir's first Sunday of services on 3rd of September included not just leading worship for the morning's service of choral Eucharist, but in the afternoon, singing at the Connor Diocesan Service of Ordination for three new deacons to the Diocese.

With the reintroduction of the beautiful service of Cathedral Choral Evensong at 3.30pm, from Sunday 10th September, the choir will sing from a wide repertoire of music stretching from the sixteenth century to the present day. And on Sunday afternoon 17th September the choir take another major afternoon service in their stride.
