15 May 11am Eucharist and 3pm Pause for Hope Service
Do join us at 11am us Choral Eucharist on Christian Aid Sunday 15th May. The preacher will be Gillian McGaughey.
The cathedral choir will sing the "Missa Angelicis", with the communion anthem "Ave verum corpus" by Loret.
In our prayers we will have a special focus on our partnership with the world wide church through our longstanding relationship with Christian Aid. In addition let us give thanks for the £60,000 raised during Lent for the Cathedral's Ukraine Refugee Crisis Appeal.
AT THE EARLIER TIME OF 3.00PM, you are invited to the first Northern Ireland ecumenical service organised by Pause for Hope. Pause for Hope is a Charity which seeks to serve all affected by Cancer.
The aim of this service is to bring together in prayer everyone in any way affected by cancer or in its management. That includes patients, carers, families, doctors, nurses, those who have responsibility for providing and managing resources, and scientists searching for a cure.
Closely associated with the Roy Castle Lung Foundation, this service offers a place for reflection, support and strength in prayer.
The renowned trio "The Priests" will be singing, alongside the "Sing for Life" Choir of Cancer Focus NI.
The preacher will be Bishop Michael Router, Auxiliary Bishop of Armagh, and from Belfast Cathedral the service will be led by Mrs Gillian McGaughey and Bishop Trevor Williams.
The service will end with refreshments for those who wish to stay.
