Belfast Cathedral Summer Music School 2021!

A group of talented young musicians joined the Belfast Cathedral Summer Music School to develop their musical abilities over a 5-day course. The Summer Music Course began on the 16th August and will end this Friday 20th August, culminating with a concert performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicoloured Dreamcoat for the children to showcase the skills they have developed, to friends and family.

All going brilliantly at the Belfast Cathedral Summer Music School

A variety of musical and artistic activities have taken place during the week including singing, vocal work in sectional groups, and musicianship classes. With the emphasis very much on fun, skills developed throughout the course will include music reading abilities, aural, pitch and rhythm awareness and music theory.

The children have worked with some of the city's finest professional musicians and each day have been introduced to a different family of instruments alongside the Cathedral's organ. They have also been hard at work honing their artistic abilities creating Joseph's multicoloured coat!

We're excited to see their final performance, which will include some surprise guest appearances!
