Children’s Trail Commission!

We are looking for a designer based in Belfast, at any stage of their career, to assist in the creation of a selection of children’s trails and characters at Belfast Cathedral.

The trails will be targeted towards KS1, KS2 and family audiences. A site visit to the Cathedral is essential to develop a proposal specific to the Cathedral. Proposals will be further discussed with the Tourism and Visitor Services Team.

The trails will not exceed a maximum of eight pages each (to be discussed), we aim to create 2 trails and a selection of worksheets. The characters guiding the trails will need to be based on animals depicted in the Cathedral’s architecture/objects.

To arrange an appointment for a site visit please contact Lorna Towns on 028 903 28 332.

To register your interest for this commission, please submit the following to lorna@belfastcathedral.org by 12 noon on Wednesday 19th June 2019:

  • CV
  • Sample designs/illustrations, (these can be based on a range of subjects, however, if you have works targeted towards children, please prioritise them).
  • Project fee
  • Contact details

This project has been generously supported by the Church of Ireland Priorities Fund.
