Easter Day Services 17th April
Please join us at 11.00am on Easter Sunday Morning, 17th April, 2022 for Festival Choral Eucharist at 11.00am, as we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ in triumph over death and the world’s darkness.
The service is led by Canon Mark Niblock, assisted by Gillian McCaughey and Melanie Sloan. The Dean is both preacher and celebrant. Holy Communion can be received in both kinds, using individual cups.
The musical setting for Festival Choral Eucharist is Krönungsmesse by Mozart.
The Cathedral Children’s Choir will sing the Anthem Risen Lord by Barry Rose, in addition to Gary Davison’s setting of the Lord’s Prayer.
The Communion Motet is This joyful Eastertide composed by Matthew Owens.
Festival Choral Evensong for Easter Day takes place at 3.30pm:
