Sunday 6th September Choral Evensong
Choral Evensong has returned to Belfast Cathedral!
We are delighted to welcome the Belfast Cathedral Choir, under the direction of Mr Matthew Owens, Director of Music, back to the choir stalls to lead Choral Evensong on Sunday afternoons at 3.30pm.
The choir will maintain social distancing, and the congregation can experience the service in the airy space of the nave. The seats will be sanitized following the Morning Service, and face coverings should be worn. Cathedral Wardens will be on hand to provide directions.
Preces and Responses are by Richard Ayleward, Canticles will be set to Henry Purcell’s Evening Service in G Minor and the Anthem will be Thou Knowest, Lord, also by Henry Purcell.
We warmly invite you to join us for one of the few opportunities for live choral worship permitted within the Coronavirus regulations in place for Northern Ireland.
