Sunday Services 22 May
Please join us at 11.00am on Sunday Morning, 22nd May, 2022 for Morning Prayer: A Service of the Word. It is the Sixth Sunday of Easter, Rogation Sunday and also the Cathedral's Easter Vestry Sunday.
The service is led by Melanie Sloan. The preacher for Easter Vestry Sunday is the Dean. Intercessions will be led by Gillian McGaughey.
The service will feature the Belfast Cathedral Children's Choir singing John Rutter's beautiful "A Gaelic Blessing", and their signature setting of the Lord's Prayer composed by Gary Davison.
In addition the cathedral choir will sing the motet ""If ye love me, keep my commandments", with words from John Chapter 14, and music by Thomas Tallis.
Tea or Coffee will be available at the end of the service, before the Annual General Vestry Meeting, which commences at 12 noon. All registered Vestry members are invited to attend the Easter Vestry, at which the cathedral accounts will be presented.
You are also invited to Choral Evensong at 3.30pm.

Thursday 26th May, being Ascension Day, there will be a said service of Holy Communion at 10am in the Chapel of Unity.
There will also be a lunchtime organ recital for Ascension Day from 1 - 1.30pm, when Matthew Owens will perform Olivier Messiaen's Four Symphonic Meditations for Organ (1934) entitled "L' Ascension". Ali Darragh will read the French texts associated with Ascension Day. All are most warmly invited.
