Services Sunday 6 February
You are welcome to join us at 11.00am on Sunday 6 February 2022, which is the Fourth Sunday before Lent, and will also mark the 70th anniversary of the Accession of Queen Elizabeth II. The service will be Choral Eucharist, with Melanie Sloan, CITI Placement Student, as preacher and the Dean as celebrant.
Please note that seating will be by alternate rows, and we ask that 2 vacant chairs (1m) be kept between groups.
The musical setting for Choral Eucharist will be by Christoph Dalitz. The Introit is A Prayer for the Sovereign by William Byrd and the Communion Motet, sung by Belfast Cathedral Children's Choir, will be A prayer of St Richard of Chichester by Richard Allain.
In place of Choral Evensong, the annual Good Samaritans Service will take place at 3.30pm. We will be joined by representatives of over 200 charities who are benefitting from the £150,000 raised during the Black Santa Sit Out in the 11 days leading up to Christmas. We will welcome special guests from PWC, as well as Peter Corry and Tim McGarry. The music will be:
Duruflé Ubi caritas et amor
Goodall The Lord is my Shepherd
Those attending services are reminded that, by law, face coverings must be worn when entering, exiting and moving around within the building, and while singing. We also request that they are worn throughout the service.
Social distancing requirements should be observed during and after the service. Holy Communion will be in one kind only.
For those who wish to listen to a recording of the spoken parts of Choral Eucharist, a recording will be posted here later in the day, as well as on the Telephone Audio Service, 028 9532 0355.
A copy of both Orders of Service can be downloaded below.
