Christmas at Belfast Cathedral
Set time aside to draw close to God before Christmas arrives, and we celebrate how God has drawn close to us. There are plenty of opportunities to worship at Belfast Cathedral on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day:
- 1pm Eucharist: we hold silence together, before encountering God in bread and wine. A perfect chance to escape the rush of last-minute shopping, and simply be in God's presence.
- The cathedral is free and open throughout the day - come in and find a quiet corner.
- 8pm Nine Lessons & Carols: joyful carols; sublime music; candlelight and Scripture readings which lead us to Bethlehem for the birth of God's Messiah.
- 11pm The First Eucharist of Christmas: join us at midnight as we celebrate the coming of Christ into a dark world.
- 11am Christmas Day: a joyful celebration of the eucharist with choral music, rejoicing in the birth of our Saviour.
